The payment stuff now just works for #nostr #safebox and is becoming the boring part of the project. The guts are hidden from the user, #safebox stores and transfers funds using relays and cashu proofs and everything is cleared through the Lightning network. It’s just a boring Lightning wallet now.
With payments done, I am moving on to more interesting things: creating, storing and transmitting medical records, issuing and verifying credentials.
There’s still lots of gnarly difficult engineering underneath the surface to do. Even more difficult is making it look boring and easy for the user. But I am taking my time to make it right because I now am 100% certain that the #nostr protocol can do everything I want to build a decentralized network that can make life better for everyone with no one being able to shut it down.
