I felt all smug (as an Apple user) about the CrowdStrike IT outage (the claimed 'largest IT outage in history') right up to the point I arrived at the Supermarket to discover it was cash only as their payment systems were down.
so much for the cashless society - as always with IT, all well & good until a catastrophic failure in the software...
