If I feel a weight of dread when I see the person’s name pop up, I know that it’s not something I’m going to reply to immediately. Then, couple that in with my “out of sight, out of mind” forgetfulness and I’m terrible at immediate replies. Also, there’s the social anxiety aspect to consider. Once I realize how long it’s been, I am incredibly self-conscious about replying and just leave it be.",
