I have finally worked through some historical changes in the reserve currency. Some take aways, the day the reserve status isn’t the END. Usually two or three currencies will bounce around as the top one. After decades, a new one emerges. As financial folks like to say, past performance is no guarantee of future performance. One thing that stood out, I think most have this backward. The loss of reserve status doesn’t start the fall, the fall starts the loss of reserve status. #grownostr #moneymatters
