Top 3 shows? I mean, that's hard.

For me the most defining stuff was frankly animated, and I'm a millennial so I'm willing to fight over that. Top three for me would probably have to be Cowboy Bebop, the entirety of the DC Animated Universe since it had a complete plot and overarching director (1992-2006), and the Last Airbender and the Legend of Kora. And then runner-up things like the six original episodes of FLCL and Trigun.

Real-life shows like Sopranos and Succession hit hard too. But ultimately they were kind of about nihilism in the end. I loved Game of Thrones until they ran past the Martin material and didn't know how to write anymore. They fucked up the landing. All they had was the solid Martin outline but no idea how to write it correctly.

We plan to finish Attack on Titan next month. So far it's great. Don't know the last third yet. I'm dodging spoilers hard.

In Succession, I was kind of on team Kendell. I felt that he eventually earned it, kind of. I liked Tom too, as kind of an anti-hero. I loved Logan as the antagonist. Roman was fascinating. Shiv annoyed me. But a lot of it was just their acting, which was all excellent. Part of why I didn't love Succession is that all characters were kind of bad and selfish to varying degrees, so ultimately it's like, "meh". There was always a part of me that was tired when watching it.
