I loved the early Scarpetta books when they were first published and Patricia Cornwell has done a lot to promote female writers and female led crime fiction.
The Scarpetta storylines got too convoluted and silly for me as the series went on but Cornwell always writes well. Maybe the TV series will be better than we are both expecting. I certainly hope so.
