He is unaware. Assuming this is the steam version of Groove Coaster, it's notoriously a horrible port. Only taito songs by default, controller support is a mere suggestion rather than a feature, and the port itself is rather buggy and unstable. It's bad enough that you're genuinely better off emulating Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party for the switch and you'll have an infinitely better experience.
