Good morning, dears.
So basically , I am quitting coffee (again). Did a family constellation on my overall well being yesterday and yeah, coffee is kinda a seductive bully, to all of me anyways.
Not sure if I could manage to do cold turkey as I have a lot going on this week (and the withdrawals can be gnarly). But both yesterday and today started with a hot cup of bone broth, real salt and a splash of apple cider vinegar. The last few days have also waited 70-90 mins before making a cup of espresso and been sipping on it tiny sips slow over hours.
Wish me luck and I welcome any support in this endeavour.
I have never been a coffee drinker honestly. I'd always get super jittery from it and sometimes could not sleep at all. And then about 11 years ago I tried the Bullet Proof Coffee for a moment, it resolved the jitteriness but I found it was very aggravating for my liver after a while. So I stopped.
I've tried it intermittently here or there but it wasn't until my grandfather passed in spring of 2021 and I entered a space of grief. I built an altar in honor of his life and consecrated with coffee. My grandfather was a religious coffee drinker, and he had his daily rituals with coffee. He introduced me to coffee. And as I consecrated with it, the few days became months. During summer months the combination with the heat outside and the heat from the coffee in my body was a double whammy of a struggle.
I've tried to shake it off a few times now and I do feel so much more at ease in my body without it when I successfully do that over a stretch of a few weeks. The difference is palpable. I love the taste and the smell of it but the long term effects don't seem so great for my well being.
So yeah, support welcomed! πππ«π«Άπ»πΉποΈπ§Ώ
