The police have arrested the suspect: a British-born 17-year-old who lives locally.
The police have also said they are seeking a motive, but do not believe it was terrorism related. They have also repeatedly stated that the man in custody was born here in the UK.
Despite this, rumours have spread around social media that the suspect is an Islamist asylum-seeker.
