I made one more year around the sun. If you spoke to me in May you would realized that I wasn’t sure if I would make it. Last year was the hardest year of my life. I fell seriously ill and no one knew what was going on with me. I had to make a decision whether to live or die. Because I was fading fast. The choice of living required energy to fight and find to a solution. I did it mostly alone. Now I’m back to skiing and potentially looking to compete at end of season or early next. I will never forget the few souls who were there for me. My coaches who helped me stay focused on surviving and giving me a goal to live for. I’m not out of the woods yet but I see road from here. I was told that athletes have a higher rate of survival. It’s a mental grit that is developed throughout a lifetime. I’m glad I have it. You better believe what’s coming next from me will top anything I have ever done. I don’t take the opportunity to live for granted. Time to build. 🤘🏻
