DNS, the Domain Name System, is an amazing feat of engineering.
It has a concept of TTL: Time To Live. I understand this as specifying how long a record in its database should remain valid (cached) before it is re looked up when next requested.
Imagine if we priced into our economics a TTR value for everything we transact: Time To Recycle or Time To Regenerate.
That might actually extend our culture’s Time To Live
