Is the education violent or is it the institution of education? Because as you said, you are referring to a very narrow definition.
Also, do all children always feel they are forced to learn things, they do not want to learn? I for example liked going to school. I hated the other classmates, but i loved learning. I was like a spoonge.
So i would rather fault institutions, that are build to use force and violence and not so much education itself.
