I actively celebrate every "legacy sequel" that underperforms or flops at box office, because the only way we are ever going to get original films in wide release that aren't major franchises or sequels to 80s movies whose stars are now depressingly old for the roles is if we as consumers stop forking over money to them constantly for scratching our nostalgic lizard brain.
