I went with my mom to deliver items from the church’s “giving tree”. Almost all of the recipients acted entitled to the things we were dropping off, asked for even more stuff, and were watching their big screen tvs. We NEVER did that again.
Exactly ONE family was thankful for the help. They had requested work boots for the dad. Their home was sparsely furnished but spotless. It made a huge impression on me.
