the biggest temptation i face on a regular basis is drinking, because it lets me forget that my life lacks meaning and direction. it also takes away the opportunity to experience meaning in the first place, because you're not doing anything meaningful while you're drunk, nor while you're hung over. it's a temptation i constantly have to talk myself out of, because not drinking doesn't motivate me into changing my life. it merely leaves the possibility open. i feel stuck here. it's hard.
