it saddens me to no end that one of the very best computers I've ever used, bar none, ever... runs MacOS by default.
I absolutely adore the M1 Air I got. That thing will run all day long and then some, never get hot, and never chug. It is the apex predator of non-gaming machines for me.
But the criticisms are valid. The OS is babyfied. The wonderful BSD roots are increasingly harder to dig up and tap into. And let's not get started on how opinionated it all is.
