Russia kept selling gas to Austria until Austria outright stopped paying for it just recently. The Nordstream 2 was active and funneling gas to Europe even as Europe was rapidly funnelling support to Ukraine, and would be today if the US didn't blow a hole in it with nary a protest. And the EU is still sanctioning itself to irrelevance, even threatening to cut off his nose that points towards China.
