Its a personal experience I've had in each of the attempts to adopt mastodon as my primary social media. Its always been what prevented me from staying long. Fortunately I've learned some conversations are just pointless to have. Especially among those people who are clearly too zealous about their own beliefs and feelings to respect those which don't perfectly align with their own. Those people are quite numerous here.
