You see, they're worried because you keep demanding orthodoxy. They're worried because they know a whole lot of you aren't taking their crap anymore. They know that their institutions are dying, people are setting up house churches, and their entire worldly fake denominations are crumbling into dust. You walk among them without them knowing who or where you are. So they start trying to reel you in with promises of "retaking" dead churches or telling you to disbelieve your lying eyes about specks and logs. They understand that you have all the power here.
Just think about how insanely scared they are that you will leave and go to the Right, that they would ask this question - "would you rather attend a church run by a non-Christian? Or a church run by a non-Christian?" They understand that you setting up a house church and holding to the faith the right way will sap them of their power, money, prestige, and bully-pulpit.
Do not yield. Do not fall for their stupid little tricks. Demand right dogma and right practice: if your church won't give it to you then leave. The Very Lutheran Project is here to help you set up something faithful when that time comes.
