I can only imagine how annoying it is to keep all those old components running while they were completely abandoned by Ubuntu. One example would be qtmir, which struggles to keep up with Ubuntu's Mir because the Mir developers have a much larger team than UBports, leading to qtmir lagging behind and having to rely on depreciated or removed functions in Mir.",
