In the ”Followed” screen:

1. Click the “Edit List” button at the top right of the screen.
2. Click the “Add contact” button.
3. Paste the key into the text area.
4. Click the “Add and continue” button or the “Add and close” button.

That works for me with Gossip 0.14.0-unstable-4cab48d8.

Use the lower box not the search bar. If that isn't working it is a bug.
