In 2004, German demogroup .theprodukkt released a first-person shooter called ".kkrieger", which was especially notable for being a fully playable, 3d-rendered FPS whose total size was only 97,280 *bytes* -- it used procedural generation to generate textures, models, etc. This was the first place winner of the 96k game competition at Breakpoint 2004 in Bingen.
