December 3rd 2023 - Grateful Sunday post
Last night, I had a heart-to-heart with my sister, and she pointed out something incredible. It’s been just two and a half years since I left my network engineer job, and in that time, I’ve launched Thriller Bitcoin, co-founded the Austin Bitcoin Club, Austin Bitcoin Design Club, and PlebLab hackerspace.
She also mentioned, and I agree, that I’ve never seemed happier than I am now, particularly with my work at PlebLab since it started. She’s absolutely right.
Though 2022 was tough, and 2023 has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, I’m immensely grateful for the god given strength to keep building through it all. He has guided and shown me the light multiple times over.
At PlebLab, along with everyone else contributing to the lab, it has been a journey of helping over a dozen startups, projects, and developers over the past couple of years reach their goals. It brings me tremendous joy to witness that journey.
I’m not exactly sure what God has in store in 2024, but I wake up each day feeling incredibly blessed and thankful for the opportunity I’m in.
I fully recognize the tremendous amount of work, responsibility and collaboration it took from everyone involved to lift these projects off the ground in Austin. It is by far no single effort, it takes a group of individuals to create this amount of impact.
But what I’ve learned is that in Bitcoin, nothing is truly impossible.
Especially when you have a community of people who care to also make the world the same way you do.
