The Dutch foundation HRIF is suing the Dutch Central Bank for failure to enforce human rights protections in "criminal" AML program ran by the Netherlands' five largest banks.
According to HRIF Chairman Simon Lelieveldt, the Dutch Central Bank sees no need for enforcement against a transaction monitoring outsourcing program which ceased operations in July, but amassed over 10 Billion data subjects – violating Dutch law according to a commissioned legal opinion.
"It's the same as after speeding with 200km/h I tell the police officer, well, I've stopped the car, I am no longer transgressing the law so you no longer have to enforce with any ticket or fine."
