The trick is to switch the burden of proof for an argument from one side to the other.
I’ll use the moon landing as an example.
Is it more believable that the U.S. got men to the moon on a rocket that wasn’t powerful enough, landed in an aluminum foil covered roll-cage, got back off the moon, and cruised back home on the first try. Or that this is a difficult thing to do?
