I went to the meadow today. There were almost no flowers left--just a few New England asters and some tiny white asters--and they were mobbed by insects. Right now, the daytime temperature is moderate, but is falling gradually. Within the week, it will be in the 50's (13C) and the insects will dwindle until the first hard frost (maybe in 2 weeks). And then I will wait more than 6 months to see these beauties again. #insects #insectphotography #nature #HoosierMast
