we had the measles vaccine thank god

but not the chicken pox vaccine, yet!

so I got that as a kid …

… and then, in my 40s, I got *shingles*

… which apparently was caused by the chickenpox virus staying dormant in my system for decades, then suddenly bursting out

Now I am actually more susceptible to shingles over and over again

vaccines rock, don’t let anyone tell us otherwise
