i had no idea about this but they have very weak heaters inside them, and they don't work until they are about a month old or so
i had two out of 3 kittens die out of a litter that i figured out about when the second one went limp that it was because of the temperature, poor dears
they aren't lizards but they are not far from adjacent to them, they simply can't survive any place they can't hole up and sleep without losing body heat
