Interesting pattern: All my smart friends have joined an early-stage startup or started their own in the last year or two.
This pattern seems universal, regardless of where they are and what they’re good at.
Of course, most of my network is in the SF Bay Area, but this includes a couple of my childhood friends too.
They all have a few things in common:
1. They’re in their late 20s with no children.
2. They went to the best universities and have a STEM degree.
3. They’ve been early trend finders since the age of 12-13, like getting into Apple well before the iPhone 3.
Am I biased? Maybe. But the future seems brighter than ever. They motivate me so much. This is the beginning of infinity
