And since the software side of things was pretty immature at the time, we wrote a lot of tooling a software company might've writen as well, so we had our own bug tracker (still, to date, the most productive/time-efficient bug tracker I've used), cluster manager (not really comparable to modern stuff like Mesos or k8s, but for anyone running simulations & tests, much better than the alternatives of the era, like Condor, or even next generation stuff like Sun Grid Engine), etc.
