I have an embarrassing story I don't really want to share, but I don't know what else to do.
ALL MY BITCOIN have been stolen/lost.
I made a major mistake organizing Northern Lightning last year, by allowing 0.1+ BTC (exact amount unknown) to stay on the node we used for btcpayserver (npub155m…dcvg).
That node is controlled by a well-known bitcoiner in Norway that has since vanished.
At the time, I still had some Bitcoin elsewhere, and I trusted the node owner (I'm an idiot), but after huge unexpected costs and taxes on the conference, it's the only Bitcoin I have left.
These were the few million sats that would at least offer my kids a future after all these years of stacking and orange pilling.
Now they are also gone, unless said node owner reappears and is willing to return the sats.
It's devastating and unfair, but I will not reveal who this person is yet. I want to give him one last chance to make things right after this post.
Though I am not very hopeful 😢
