It was a 13 hour drive yesterday afternoon and evening, through one of the most intense lightening storms I've ever experienced. Forks of lightening crashing across the sky with bolts stabbing earthward, almost constantly. Bright enough to turn night into day. And it went on for hours and hours as I skirted the edges of the storm, pacing it as I moved north east.
