I first learned about temporal dithering when I noticed that a monitor connected to my M1 MacBook is flickering. Everyone on the internet was telling me that was temporal dithering. Of course turning that off did not help either. But then why would a monitor just flicker on macOS... (I know, I know, we live in a world where everything has to be Apple compatible, lest it won't work properly.)
