🎄 Mom's Mom, my "Granny" @ Christmas, 1989. She was 81.
I spent Granny's last Christmas Day with her in a nursing home in 2000. She thought I was her younger brother all that year, and with some background from Mom, that's who I became, just for her.
That day, we gabbed about whatever she wanted to and visited with other residents. At midday, Granny and I enjoyed a lively, lovely lunch of turkey and dressing in the dining room with 100 other mostly-women residents, as carols played on a boombox. ❤️
