It's been sad to watch a few of my neighborhood restaurants go through this process:
- open
- get kinda bigish and popular
- move their restaurant to the suburbs, lured by cheap rent in a strip mall
- none of their old clientelle visits, in fact hardly anybody goes there because you have to drive 20-30 minutes from pretty much anywhere to get to it
- close up shop permanently
