American governance is built on the principle of popular sovereignty, as expressed over 300 YEARS AGO by John Locke, the father of liberalism himself. His 📜 State of Nature holds that NO PERSONS ARE OBLIGATED TO OBEY ONE ANOTHER. We just happen to deem it in our best interests to form representative governments to whom we relinquish aspects of our self-sovereignty to better secure our natural rights.

The democratization of governance means that the candidates and parties with the most popularly desired policies will earn the most votes ☑️☑️☑️☑️☑️ and, therefore, be elected by the people to govern.
