This is some crazy diversification. Wonder if Walmart has the skill to set the right goals in the consumer electronics game. I doubt their usual corporate strategy will work for that market. On the other hand, I doubt anyone else understands commoditization anywhere near as well, and this level of vertical integration in a commoditized market is a HUGE advantage.
Will be entertaining to watch, either way.
