Actually, I’d disagree somewhat - misguided as chasing growth is, the real problem here is the gross inequality.
Look at Kenya collapsing under its repayments to both the World Bank and China. None of the value of any of that growth benefits the greater populace, just extraction until collapse.
A bit closer to home, we’re *subsidising* billionaires to gut Port Talbot, vanish with the value, bin the people.
