I still can’t get over that some of our most celebrated recording artists didn’t even play on their own albums, but relied on studio musicians such as The Wrecking Crew and Muscle Shoals. It sounds like more than just a little extra fill.
A bit like if I was a painter but had other artists do my work for me (which also happens), or a writer who uses AI.
