I stopped looking at long-term stuff like that when I found out about my rare blood disorder. I'm screwed anyway if there's a disaster so major it takes out the hospital, without my weekly tests and treatments I'll bleed to death even without injury. I just keep lots of canned and dry stuff around for power outages and such.
This is also why I've slacked off about emergency communications ham radio-wise. I am no longer in a useful position to render assistance, I can only recieve it.
