Some of them make sense to me. Others don't. I can see the value in using designated areas for public safety and continuity. But I also see that as a risk for protests in Iran, it makes it easier to round protesters up and hurt them. Whenever these changes are made, I think it's important to look at the wider context of the decision. And yeah, I agree, it's a bad look for Iran, same as when parts of Australia introduced permanent changes to protesting during BLM rallies, under the guise of covid concerns. The right to protest peacefully and freely, about things of community importance, is a fundamental cornerstone in a healthy society; one that needs to be protected.
