Former Race Relations Commissioner & previously Gisborne mayor Meng Foon has got himself into a bit of a pickle. He built a 125m sea wall along the beach side of his campground, without applying for resource consent. Whoops!

The Council has made him remove the structure and he intends to apply for consent to build a compliant sea wall.
