Feel free to add to this if you're a corporate drone like me, but from my perspective, it seems like no one is questioning whether they should implement AI tools and systems in their company. Just the other day, when one of our teams was asked what AI was actually good for, they were completely speechless. Now, I’m not an AI hater.

I do think it can save time, depending on the data it’s trained on and what it’s connected to, but I can sense major security risks emerging from blindly adopting AI without thinking it through. Three companies I know of were practically forced to accept Copilot because both their employees and executives pushed for it, leaving no room to say no. So now we'll just openly hand over all our data to Microsoft? Far more than we ever did before? That's it?

Are we also connecting all these APIs without a clear vision? Is the goal just to make AI a party trick and nothing more?

An excellent alternative would be to actually hire people who work with LLMs and implement a model trained on the open-source models you can find around. Wishful thinking, I know. As always, the corporate world will just outsource this, blindly accept whatever their partners shove down their throats, and the corporate machine will keep working somehow.
