they've finally announced the end of zeb wells' run on amazing spider-man a little while back. i'm very thankful it's coming to an end. now we know they're gonna be doing a 10 part storyline before starting the next run. it's gonna be like the beyond storyling like they did between nick spencer and wells' run. back then they had a team of writers taking turns writing issues and rapid fired released them so i imagine they will be doing the same with this. one of the writers they announced is joe kelly who has written for the character quite a few times before, but more excitingly imo is that justina ireland will be one of the rotating writers. she's written a lot for the star wars high republic stuff. zeb wells was one of the main writers of that beyond arc and then took over the main book afterwards. a part of me really hopes justina takes over the book and not joe kelly. we've already seen what joe can do with the character. as far as i know there's never been a black woman who has written the main amazing spider-man book. she's a great writer and i'd be really excited to see what she'd be able to do with peter parker. i'm really curious what this next 10 part story is going to be about. we know doctor strange seems to have a role in it, it's called the 8 deaths of spider-man. i just hope they don't put him through more hell. i just wanna see peter happy for once. they probably aren't going to be putting him and mj back together anytime soon. just give my boy a break!
