This is a great point, and I've used this as an example of a categorical imperative before.
Like, I don't have a lot of respect for Blair White, but if I misgender her then it tells all my trans friends that me gendering them correctly is only ever conditional on me liking them.
So, we gender people correctly regardless of other factors, because it is absolutely the right thing to do even if we despise that person.
