my biggest concern is it is aimed at people like me, who are retired on old fashioned final salary pensions, who had taxpayer support to buy houses,(MIRAS etc) had no tuition fees to pay, and often grants to live off. Are once again asking others to work hard to give them even more to live off. Personally, I'd like interest relief on martages to return, if from a mutual source, and end to tuition fees and all graduates (including myself) to pay a 1% supplement on their income tax.
