What next needs to be built? Don’t we have it all now?
What I envision is a YouTube alternative based on Nostr protocol and Webtorrent.
1) We use npubs as URL to websites hosted on Relays like it was proposed here
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/742.
2) Those websites are the equivalent to YouTube channels, then the page renders the player which download and stream videos using Webtorrent (
https://webtorrent.io/).
3) All the channel's videos are hosted in paid servers or locally (in your own machine), you are just the peer broadcasting the video through torrent.
We can even create a system of rewards for people hosting videos from other people with lightining zaps per each view.
