Here's the happy ending on the lost lonely duckling I found in the road yesterday a 1/4mi from the house. We had some heavy rains, so it had gotten washed away from its group uphill somewhere.

We were taking her to a neighbor who also has ducks, but on the way, we spotted a mama duck & her hatch-lings that were about the same age/size as the one I found. The duckling saw them too so I set her down & she joined the others.

Her overnight 'human' adventure concluded.
