One big question about #TikTok is what happens to users outside the US & China. In e.g. the EU, people would have to choose between the app they have, but without US content, or downloading and signing up to a new app, with all the friction that entails. If the app does get split up, I think that could be a very interesting moment in the ongoing split between US- & China-dominated tech ecosystems.
