A police cruiser and another vehicle were damaged in a crash on James H. McGee Boulevard near Third Street in Dayton. This was the fourth crash involving a Dayton Police cruiser in the past month. The officer was traveling south on James H. McGee Boulevard while the at-fault driver was going north. The other vehicle attempted to turn left at the intersection, causing the crash. No injuries were reported, and speed, distraction, or alcohol are not considered factors. Dayton Police Sergeant Criegee Coleman stated that failure to be aware is the biggest issue in these crashes and that the department has completed a defensive driving course.
